Alston Art Fair

Alston Artists invite art-lovers to Alston's very first Art Fair, over the first
weekend in December. Alston Art Fair, showcasing the work of seven professional artists at Alston House Hotel, coincides with the popular annual Alston Craft Fair held at Alston Town Hall, running from Friday 4 December to Sunday 6 December. Entry to both events is free and are within a couple of minutes' walk of each other.

As well as being able to view the original artwork, visitors to Alston Art Fair will be
able to meet the artists and find out more about what they can do. Purchases can be taken away directly or reserved for later collection.

"As well as original artwork, each of us will be selling affordable cards and prints.
Also, for 2010, we've published a limited number of calendars featuring examples of our work. Copies are selling fast already, but we'll make sure more are available for sale at the Art Fair"
said co-organiser Jules Cadie.

Alston Art Fair opens from 10am - 6pm Friday 4 Dec and Saturday 5 Dec, and from 10am - 4pm on Sunday 6 Dec. The Alston Artists staging Alston Art Fair are Glynnis Carter, Jules Cadie, John Fowler, Alan Hayward, Syl and Ray Macro, and Lionel Playford. Together, their work includes landscape, figurative and abstract painting, mixed media, ceramics, photography, prints and pastels. They also have an exhibition at Gossipgate Gallery, entitled ‘...on the edge'.
