Come along to the Burning Wood Well / Sustainability event in Garrigill Village Hall on Sunday, 21st September to usher in the cooler autumn and winter months when all our minds turn to rising fuel bills and keeping warm! The focus of the event will be on renewable energy, building sustainable communities (in a wider context) and local projects.

Cumbria Woodlands will be running a burning wood well workshop from 11am to help you get the very best from your wood fuel - learn how to chop it, store it and burn it and Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS) will be demonstrating draught proofing and energy saving equipment.

There will also be electric bikes to trial, the new community wheels mini bus will be on show, as well as a range of other information stalls and a short film.

This event is part of the Annual Green Build Festival run by CAfS, which will include other things taking place in Garrigill and throughout Alston Moor over the course of the weekend (see below for more info). Free stalls available for community groups!
