Alston Moor Film

Alston Moor Film was launched in 2009 and presents a programme of film screenings rotating around venues in Alston and Garrigill. The evenings often start with 10 minutes of local short films before the main feature, ranging from youth-made YouTube pieces to local oral history videos.

On average the AMF present fifteen screenings a year and have started to promote themed weekend events, which started with "Le Weekend" in 2013.

Facilities / Services:

  • Bar and snacks available.
  • Annual membership of £2.
  • Entry on the day is £4 for adults, and £2 for under 16s.
  • Film nights usually held on the last Thursday of the Month. (Except August)
  • Large drop-down screen and Blu-ray quality projector in Town Hall.
  • Training in use of equipment available to all members of the community.
