Cleo broadband fault (Issue Ongoing)

Cleo currently have a problem with their broadband feed between Appleby and Penrith.  This means that Cybermoor customers are experiencing a slower broadband service than usual.

Cleo engineers are working on the problem at the moment.  We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Problem Sending e-mails (Issue Closed)

The problem with the server used to send e-mails out has been rectified.  Our provider has changed some DNS addresses so we suggest that you reboot your machine if the problems persist.

Nenthead Broadband (Issue Closed)

there is currently a problem with broadband in Nenthead.  Engineers are working to fix the problem.

Garrigill Broadband (Issue Closed)

The broadband service to Garrigill is currently down.  This has been caused by a problem with a replacement server which we installed earlier this week.

Engineers are working to resolve the problem at the moment.

We apologise for any inconvenience this is causing.

ALL CYBERMOOR E-MAIL PASSWORDS HAVE CHANGED (Issue Closed)

If you cannot acccess your e-mails it is probably because all the passwords were changed on Thursday 13th December.

To obtain your new password, please call the Cybermoor office on 01434 382 808.  We will do our best to change the password within 48 hours.

Why did you change my password?

We have been informed by our e-mail provider, Fasthosts, that hackers have compromised the security of their e-mail system. While there is no evidence that any Cybermoor customers have been affected, Fasthosts have told us that they would change passwords of all Cybermoor e-mail accounts.

They have said “Whilst we recognise that this is extremely inconvenient for our customers, it remains the only way to be 100% sure that you continue to receive a secure service. Unfortunately, an automatic password change is the only way of ensuring that all of our customers are totally secure.”

Which e-mail accounts are affected?

If you have an e-mail address xxxxxxxx@Cybermoor.org.uk you will need to change your password.

I can’t remember my password – what do I do?

Please call the office and we will reset your password manually.

What should I do if I use Outlook Express or Outlook?

You will also need to change settings in outlook express or other e-mail client if you use one. Instructions are available when you change your account settings or at http://www.cybermoor.org/lid/index.asp?intID=435 Don't forget - when you type in your username it needs to bejoe.bloggs@cybermoor.org.uk not just joe.bloggs.

Will this affect my Cybermoor website login?

Your e-mail username and password and website username and password are completely different to those you use for the www.Cybermoor.org website.

We are really sorry about this inconvenience, we are now looking at moving all of the Cybermoor e-mail accounts to a more reliable provider.

Brief Broadband down time (Issue Closed)

We would like to advise you of a brief service outage which will affect the broadband service. This outage will take place on Tuesday 6th November 2007 between the hours of 6.45am to 8.30am. This is down to CLEO carrying out work on the network.  This work will therefore mean there may not by any broadband during this period.

'TOPP' broadband feed (Issue Closed)

Tuesday,  10th July

We are still experiencing intermittent problems with the TOPP access point, which may affect any users who use this for their broadband feed.

We are working on the problem and hope to resolve this as soon as possible.

Should you be experiencing any problems, please phone the support office on 382808 to report it.

Potential webmail problem (Issue Closed)

We thought we'd just warn everyone who uses the Cybermoor mail system that the company who host the mail service are based in Gloucestershire. They have informed us that although they are currently keeping the water at bay, the situation is changing all the time and they cannot guarantee they can hold out much longer.

We will endeavour to keep you informed of any changes via the website.

The electric has now come back on and the broadband is back working again.

There is currently a fault with the broadband which is affecting the service in Alston & Garrigill. 

There has been an electircaly fault in Alston and are awaiting the supply to be corrected.

Webmail problems (Issue Closed)

Problem resolved on Friday.


We are experiencing some minor 'glitches' with the cybermoor webmail service. We do not currently know what the problem is, but will endeavour to ensure this is rectified as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we will keep you updated on the situation.

Interference problems in the centre of Garrigill are currently causing problems for customers there.  Engineers are working on the problem at the moment.

Problems sending E-mail (Issue Closed)

There is currently a problem with the outbound mail server, so broadband customers using outlook or outlook express cannot send messages out.  Engineers are looking at the problem.

As an alternative, you can use Cybermoor webmail which is unaffected.  We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
